The subject of cut flower and foliage imports is being discussed by all sectors of the Australian industry, and continues to be raised in various industry circles. It is an issue that regularly brings out passionate debate as our industry comes to terms with the reality of global flower trade.

The Flower Association of Queensland Inc. (FAQI) has been communicating with the industry as part of a project to examine published data on floral product imports and exports. The project team is compiling data, literature and direct feedback from the industry to create a picture of the global trade in cut flower and foliage products and its relationship to Australian retail and production.
